ASTETIKA is an Australian skincare brand founded on a defining experience that shaped our approach to premium skincare.
In 1997, while working as a model in Seoul and Tokyo, I discovered a skincare mist that transformed my skin. Before a Gucci show in Tokyo — widely regarded as a pinnacle of skincare expertise — a makeup artist applied a high-grade Hyaluronic Acid mist in preparation for the show’s makeup. The result was immediate: light, refreshing, and effortlessly hydrating, leaving the skin revitalised and luminous.
Years later, I sought to recreate that experience in Australia. The local skincare market offered few options; most products focused on botanicals rather than active ingredients. I envisioned a single, elegant formula that combined multiple benefits, simplifying and elevating the daily skincare routine. ASTETIKA was officially established in 2015, and now, in our tenth year, that commitment to premium, minimalist skincare remains central to our brand.
The journey was not without challenges. A key partner — our cosmetic chemist — withheld our formula after significant investment in its development. A year-long legal process followed when we discovered discussions had been initiated with a large cosmetic company regarding the sale of our formulation. This period tested our resilience, patience, and determination. Ultimately, through diligence and clear evidence of ownership, we secured full rights to our formula. This experience reinforced our dedication to delivering exceptional, uncompromised products.
Today, ASTETIKA reflects that resilience and vision. From our signature skincare mist to our hand and body wash, and even our candle designed to promote calm, every product is developed to deliver luxury skincare quality without unnecessary complexity or cost.
